Helping My Grannie
This week I see my grandmother. I look forward to seeing her, even if she has grown a little stubborn in her old age. I won’t embarrass her by divulging her age, but let’s simply suppose she’s a lady with thoroughly practiced wisdom.
The last time I visited her I brought my Yamaha keyboard PSR so I could play her some music. She enjoyed it, but unfortunately since she is not entirely there, she kept interrupting me to inquire of me how to clean her computer. Yes, she really uses a computer. And maybe she was disrupting me because I am just that bad at playing the keyboard.
I always find something bewildering at her home when I see her. Last time, I observed several books on penny stocks on her coffee table. My grandma learning about penny stock investing? That’s bizarre. I wonder what I’ll discover on her coffee table this week.
This time will make for an active sojourn. We have to put in her new Emtek door knobs and air conditioner filters then fix her garden cart. I additionally have to take her old pot and pan to charity because she recently bought a new collection of pots and pans to supplant them. As a reward, she claims to also have bought the best ice cream maker and the very best of all the electic coffee makers. I’m thankful, yet I also have to laugh softly as she invariably claims to have or use only the very best of this or that.
If all proceeds well, she’ll employ both to serve me some sweet java in the morning and ice cream in the afternoon. This sounds like more than reward enough for my assistance. I am glad to assist her for nothing, but a bit of robust coffee and creamy ice cream doesn’t bother me.
